DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH is one of the largest maintenance companies for rail vehicles and their components in Europe. Founded in 1929, the Dessau plant with its 1,500 employees is one of the most efficient locations in this group and has the most modern locomotive testing center in Europe. Only here can you switch between all four European electricity systems. Traction vehicles with voltages of up to 25 kV can be tested on eight test benches. The core competence of the plant lies in the area of ​​maintenance and overhaul of electric locomotives.
