This area also known as the “Junkerspark” is the western supply centre of the city district of Dessau and has both a regional and supra-regional catchment area due to its location by the B185 road towards. The central shopping mall has recently been completely redesigned and provides its customers with a unique shopping experience.
This commercial area which was named after Prof. Hugo Junkers is primarily dominated by retail. The range of products on offer covers daily needs but also includes additional stores in the areas of DIY, electronics and textiles as well as car dealerships and automotive service facilities. Part of the Biopharma cluster and the District crafts trade association (“Kreishandwerkerschaft”) have found their firm place here. The commercial area is very well connected to the public transport network, making it possible to reach it by bus or tram, and also has additional possibilities for railroad connection due to its location right on the train line between Dessau and Köthen.
